Yubin Kuang

I am a PhD student at the Mathematical Imaging Group since May 2009. My research interests lie in optimization and machine learning in general, and their application in computer vision. In particular, I am currently working on methods for object recognition and large scale semantic object segmentation.

Before I joined the group, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences and Master's degree in Computer Science from Nanjing University and Lund University, respectively.

My other research interests lie in :

Image Analysis on Arts - some attempt on applying curvature-based inpainting on paintings, joint work with David G. Stork and Fredrik Kahl.
