Third year summing up: Committee meeting, scientific progress, and special workshop on fatigue; DNV, Hövik, Norway, October 23-24, 2008.
The third year summing up meeting was held at Det Norske Veritas, DNV, Hövik, Norway, October 23-24, 2008. Recruited ESR and ER researchers presented their work, as well as the Seamocs partners. The meeting was combined with a workshop on fatigue organised by DNV and Chalmers University.Motivation for DNV special interest and research in fatigue was presented for the Seamocs partners, and unsolved problems pointed out, in different types of applications. The DNV person responsible for DNV Classification Note on fatigue participated in the meeting.

Second year summing up: Scientific workshop and committee meeting i Palmse, Estonia, October 10-13, 2007
The second year summing up meeting wes held in Park Hotel Palmse in the Lahemaa National Park in Estonia in connexion with a two day workshop, Thursday-Friday, on Implications of climate change on marine and coastal safety and on Applied wave mathematics. The SEAMOCS workshop, that was held in response from the expressed needs of the industrial and governmental partners, was attended by more than 50 researchers.The committee meeting was held in the afternoon on Wednesday; the main issue was adaption of the recruitment plans.

Committee meeting in Lund, April 25, 2007
Several SEAMOCS activities took place in Lund during the week April 23-27, 2007. A course in Statistical analysis of extreme values by mean of the R-package extRemes was held Monday-Tuesday with eight participants. On Thursday-Friday six participants got an overview of the Matlab package WAFO and its features. On Wednesday April 25, Sofia Åberg defended her PhD thesis on applications of Rice's formula in oceanographic and environmental applications.On Wednesday afternoon a short committee meeting was held, summing up the recruitment status and preparing for the Mid term report.

First year summing up: Scientific and committee meeting in Leuven, October 26-28, 2006
The yearly meeting in Leuven featured scientific presentations by Seamocs by Layla Lafredo and Jörg Wegener, two recruited ESR researchers, and five other other researchers. Topics and titles of the presentations can be found on K.U.Leuvens Seamocs-page . At day two Alessandro Toffoli defended his PhD thesis on wave statistics and spectral modality. A Committee meeting was held on day 3.

Scientific kickoff meeting in Toulouse, February 16-17, 2006
The second kick-off meeting, held in Toulouse, concentrated on the scientific content of the network research training, with presentations of current and future research topics. Seamocs Kick-off meeting in Lund, November 22-23, 2005
The meeting started at Tuesday lunch, with participation from all partners. The agenda included, on Tuesday: presentation of the participating groups, a thourough survey of the administrative rules for MCRTN:s offered by Lund University Research Service Office, preliminary discussion of network management structure and immediate acivities. On Wednesday morning the management structure was settled and recruitment status and course activities discussed. The afternoon was devoted to scientific presentations from various partners.
