Disciplinary research is conducted within the areas of mathematical analysis, algebra, geometry, probability,  numerical analysis and statistics.

Interdisciplinary research is conducted in the areas of computer vision and image analysis, stochastic modelling and statistical signal processing, scientific computing and simulation technique.
