Students who have handed in their projects but do not get a passing grade for the course can take the re-examination during the ongoing academic year. The grades for the home exams are valid until the course is taught again. When a new course begins and new projects are posed during the course, the old home exam grades are no longer valid. If a student plans to take a re-exam more than a year later, he must hand in the home exams during the current course in order to be graded.
If needed, formulas encased in a rectangle in the Lecture Notes will be given to you during the exam.
The grade is computed on the basis of 100 points, 70
from the
theory
exam and 15 from each of the two home exams. In order to get a passing grade of 3 the student
must get at least 35 points
in the final exam. The final grade (5, 4, 3 or
fail) is obtained according to the following scale. However, small
adjustments (only in the students' favor) may be made.
Point scale:
0-49
fail
50-67 (and at least 35 on the theory)
grade
3
68-83 (and at least 46 on the theory)
grade 4
84-100 (and at least 57 on the theory)
grade 5
