It can take up to 15 min until you get an e-mail with the answer.

The final grade is composed of two parts; theory 70%, computer projects 30% (15% + 15%).
Computer projects (home exams): There are two computer based questions as part of the course examination. They must be handed in as scheduled during the course, and must be done on a strictly individual basis. Any discussions with classmates or teachers must be acknowledged. This part of the examination is not compulsory, but be aware that if you fail to hand them in you will need to get 50 points (out of 70) in the theory exam to pass the course.

Students who have handed in their home-exams but do not get a passing grade for the course can take the re-examination during the following year. The grades for the home exams are valid until the course is taught again. When a new course begins and new projects are posted during the course, the old home exam grades are no longer valid. If a student plans to take a re-exam more than a year later, he can only get points for the computer based exams if he submits the current home exams.

Formulas encased in a rectangle in the Lecture Notes will be given to you during the exam.

The grade is computed on the basis of 100 points, 70 from the theory exam and 15 from each of the two home exams. In order to get a passing grade of 3 the student must get at least 35 points in the final exam. The final grade (5, 4, 3 or fail) is obtained according to the following scale. However, small adjustments (only in the students' favor) may be made.

Point scale:
 0-49                                                                    fail
50-67 (and at least 35 on the theory)         grade   3
68-83 (and at least 46 on the theory)         grade   4
84-100 (and at least 57 on the theory)       grade   5
