PLANNING SURVIVAL STUDIES

Survival studies can be designed by determining the required 
duration of accrual, given a specified accrual rate. This
approach has been used for over 25 years and several
extensions have been considered. These extensions include
simultaneous comparison of several treatments and equivalence
to an active control. This presentation provides some details
associated with this approach, with some discussion of the
extensions.
