Jeffrey Steif, Mathematical Sciences, Chalmers University of Technology Title: An overview and recent developments in percolation theory Abstract: The goal of this talk is to describe both what percolation theory is and some of the developments that it has recently undergone. The talk will consist of 4 parts, the last three of which are more or less independent of each other. These parts are (1) an introduction to the basic percolation model with its phase transition and the uniqueness of the infinite cluster, (2) the relationship between the behavior of percolation and the structure of the graph on which it is defined, (3) dynamical percolation and (4) conformal invariance and critical exponents.
