Andreas Jakobsson Mathematical Statistics, Lund University Estimating the magnitude square coherence spectrum Abstract Even though the Magnitude Square Coherence (MSC) spectrum is useful in a wide variety of applications, such as for instance SAR imagery, few methods exists for forming an accurate high- resolution estimate of the spectrum. In this talk, we will provide a review of some recent work on data-adaptive spectral estimation techniques as well as exploit these techniques to formulate high-resolution estimates of the 1-D and 2-D MSC spectrum. We will further discuss ways to efficiently time- update such estimates as additional data becomes available.
