 Place-dependent random iterations of functions.
 
 Abstract:
 We consider Markov chains generated by place-dependent random iterations
 with contraction maps. Such Markov chains arise naturally in the generation
 of fractal sets, and in the thermodynamic formalism of statistical mechanics.
 We discuss conditions for uniqueness/non-uniqueness in stationary probability
 distributions and give sufficient conditions for some ergodic
 properties of such chains.
