European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry

The ECMI Postgraduate Programme aims at educating industrial mathematicians to meet the growing demand for experts in use of mathematical models in industry and at operating within a European network to stimulate the use of mathematical sciences in industry. In Lund the programme succeeds the undergraduate studies, and is supposed to be followed by students after their basic undergraduate education. These studies are financed via the National Network in Applied Mathematics, external research funds, industry or Lund University.

The following divisions at of Centre for Mathematical Sciences participates in the Technomath Programme in ECMI:

Mathematics, LTH
Mathematical Statistics
Numerical Analysis,

and we aim at having the Economath Programme up an running during 2003.
