  Dear Colleague,

we are writing in order to inform you about the conference

                  OPERATOR THEORY, ANALYSIS AND
                      MATHEMATICAL PHYSICS

                          OTAMP 2006

                     June 15 - 22, 2006

to be organized at the Center for Mathematical Sciences,
  Lund University.

The purpose of the conference is to bring together researchers
working in operator theory, analysis and their applications in
mathematical physics. The following special sessions will be
  organized

I Spectral analysis of Schrödinger operators
II Jacobi matrices and CMV matrices and orthogonal polynomials
III Quasi-periodic and random Schrödinger operators
  IV Quantum graphs

  Organizing Committee:
Jan Janas (Krakow), Pavel Kurasov (Lund), Ari Laptev (Stockholm),
Serguei Naboko (St.Petersburg), Gunter Stolz (Birmingham)

It is expected that about 100 researchers will participate
in the conference. Therefore registrations will be considered in
the order in which they are received. The conference fee will
be about 150 EUR subject to changes depending on the available
funding (to be raised up to 200 EUR after May 1, 2006).

The conference programme will include invited lectures by
  M.Aizenman (USA), S.Albeverio (Germany), A.Avilla (France),
  J.Bellissard (France-USA), Ch.Bennewitz (Sweden), M.Brown (UK),
Y.Colin de Verdiere (France), M.Combescure (France), D.Damanik (USA),
  J.Derezinski (Poland), J.Geronimo (USA), F.Gesztesy (USA),
  L.Golinskii (Ukraine), H.Hedenmalm (Sweden), V.Jaksic (Canada),
  S.Jitomirskaya (USA), M.A.Kaashoek (The Netherlands), Yu.Karpeshina (USA),
  J.P.Keating (UK), A.Kiselev (USA), Y.Last (Israel), A.Magnus (Belgium),
  B.Pavlov (New Zealand), B.Simon (USA), J.Stochel (Poland),
R.Weder (Mexico), and R.Weikard (Birmingham, USA).

There will be a special session for young scientists (PhD
students and early PhDs) specialized in the area close to the
  subject of the conference.

If you want to present a talk, please provide Title and Abstract
before March 1, 2006. There will be only a limited number of
contributed talks. About one half of the proposed talks will be
selected by the organizing committee for oral presentation.

For more information about the conference and registration, please consult
the web site of the conference at

             http://www.maths.lth.se/~kurasov/OTAMP2006/OTAMP2006.html

Remember that early registration is preferred, since it the might be
closed in the case the number of registered participants exceeds the capacity
  of our conference rooms.

Looking forward to meeting you at the conference.

                             The organizers
