My domain of research is the study of dynamical systems with a special focus on symbolic dynamics and its connections to combinatorics on words and number theory. In particular i study how to apply methods from symbolic dynamics, combinatorics on words and the β-shift to problems in diophantine approximation and badly approximable numbers.
