Image Analysis

  • No exercise on friday 9/10. Erik Ask is defending his PhD thesis "Methods for Optimal Model Fitting and Sensor Calibration Improving and Constructing Polynominal Solvers", at 13.15 in MH:C. Come to the dissertation instead :)
  • New course code from 2014, FMAN20 for undergraduate students and FMA171F for PhD students.
  • Number of credits changed to 7.5.
  • The course is given once a year in the first period after the summer.
  • Lectures tuesdays 8-10 (in MA:04), thursdays 10-12 (first week in M:A and then in MH:A) and some fridays 13-15 (in E:C).
  • Five home assignments - required for pass - deadlines 18/9, 25/9, 2/10, 10/10 and 17/10.
  • Exercises wed 8-10, 10-12, (all seven weeks), friday 13-15, 15-17 (only study week 3)
  • Week 6 there will be computer supervision tuesday 7/10 at 10-12 in MH:230, thursday 9/10 at 13-15. It will be in MH:228, no exercise friday 10/10.
  • Week 7 there will be computer supervision tuesday 14/10 at 10-12 in MH:230, thursday 16/10 at 13-15. It will be in MH:230, no exercise friday 17/10.
  • Textbook (optional, available online): Szeliski, Computer Vision - Algorithms and Applications, Springer.
  • Textbook (optional): Forsyth & Ponce, Computer Vision - A Modern Approach, Pearson Education, ISBN 0-13-191193-7.
  • Home exam for grade 3-5 can be picked up at the study office on the 5th floor of the Math building.
  • You can pick it up Mo 20 Oct - Mon 27 Oct, and it must be handed in 48 hrs after pick up.
