Calculus in One Variable A1
Official Course Description
A good knowledge of calculus in one variable is a prerequisite for almost any kind of modelling of techical systems, either directly -- for systems which may be described using a function of one variable -- or indirectly, since calculus in several variables uses the theory of calculus in one variable.
All the study programmes that give the degree of Master of Science in Engineering ("Civilingenjör") contain the same basic course in calculus in one variable, worth 15 ECTS credits. However, for some programme the course is spread over three study periods (FMAA01, the "A-track") and for others it is spread over two study periods (FMAA05, the "B-track"). It is important to note that these courses contain compulsory activities apart from the written exams, and that only these must be completed before the exam.
