Computational Modelling

– clean water, new energy and efficient industrial processing

Computational Modelling brings together established competence in mathematical modelling with future trends in computational techniques creating added values by reliable simulations for efficient processing.

Research topics

  • Modelling, simulation and control of complex processes
  • Identification of constitutive relations and calibration of process models (PDE constrained optimization)
  • Parameter identification and inverse problems
  • Analysis and numerical analysis for hyperbolic conservation laws and convection-diffusion equations with discontinuous coefficients
